C O L D // Don’t let the coldness of the world steal your warmth, friend. The frost comes quickly at night in the dark when we are asleep and vulnerable. But do not wake up and let your body become still with the cold. Do not let your blood thicken or your heartbeat slow. Rub your aching bones with frost bitten fingers; fingers you’ve used to pry open the frozen hearts of others who let the bitter winds defeat them. Wrap your chilled arms around the shivering bodies who have forgotten what warmth can come from human contact. Do not stay cold, my loves. Be warm, so that others may gather around to feel your radiating heat.
